Ludlow Food Festival

A great time was had by all, as the organisers from the Ludlow Food Festival managed to pull out the stops to give us all a great festival.
Despite the recession, the festival maintained its up beat atmosphere and attracted visitors of all ages from far and wide. Helped of course not least by the spirit lifting presence of Chase Distillery making the first pure English Potato Vodka, I can give first hand acknowledgement of its smoothness given that I am a Belvedere Girl at heart. For those not into the spirits there were numerous ciders and beers to taste notably the Hobsons, and Woods Breweries.
The main attraction of course was bright, beautifully fresh and plentiful, not content to shop and cook for yourself well, then, they provided the perfect position for a summer feast at the aptly named Chefs table restaurant created by Gourmetlife and operated by the Lion Hotel reasonably priced at £15 for 2 courses, The Midlands platter deserves a special mention that was worth the price alone.
I managed to conquer my fear of heights and traipse up the tower with shouts of "orf with her head" ringing in my ears.

Looking forward to next year .

O x
